Meet Katy

Hello! I am so glad you’re here.

I’m Katy, the blogger behind Evergreen Plate. For SO LONG (read: decades) I struggled with acne, stress-management, and perfectionism. So much of my energy was poured into obsessing over everything I ate, working out for hours, and stressing over why my skin was breaking out or why my body didn’t look a certain way. It was exhausting and certainly no way to “live your best life”.

Eventually I started to figure it out. I began working on my self-love, exercising for strength and empowerment rather than punishment, and discovered the root cause of my skin and digestion issues. I can’t say I still don’t struggle with things, because I do, but I have truly come so far.

I started this blog to share everything I’ve learned over the better part two decades about health and wellness and what it means to live with gratitude despite all the discomfort. If you are struggling with acne, self-esteem, body image, or perfectionism, know that you are worthy of all the love in the world and that you can heal! I only hope that sharing my recipes and lifestyle strategies can help you along your journey towards a more confident, vibrant, and badass life!

Meet Nala

Nala is a lovable rescue pup and #1 crumb catcher here at Evergreen Plate. She’s often described as “very soft” and “the perfect size”. Her favorite things include going on hikes, sniffing around for treats, and sitting at the other end of the couch (not too close but not too far away 😂). Her DNA test reveals she is a mix of Beagle, Pomeranian, Pitbull, and Mini Poodle.

At one of our favorite spots, Marymoor Park

With Love,

Katy and Nala 💚
